It is the Germantown- 2 can, you can boil!

This is what we call a beer boil!
The other picture is Jason practicing to be creepy for Halloween! He has become a professional. Enough of that onto the food!
2 lb. bag of peeled carrots- diced in 2 to 3 inch rounds
2 large onions diced
3 stalks celery diced
6 to 8 potatoes-peeled-cut in half
1 large head of cabbage-cored and cut into 2 inch wedges
4 cups of chicken broth
2 cans of beer-we like a Pale Ale variety
2 packages of kielbasa, smoked or jalapeño variety sausages- your choice or turkey sausage
4 cloves of garlic peeled
2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning or good smoked paprika- your choice
2 bay leaves
salt and pepper to taste
water
Sauté the onion in a little olive oil. Add everything else into large pot. All the veg.,spice, meat, liquid and add enough water just to cover contents. Boil! The potatoes should yield to a knife and you are ready to eat.
This is great with cornbread. This is the type of meal that only gets better the next day. It freezes well if you REMOVE the potatoes. Potatoes do not freeze well when they are whole. They become mealy! I am off to make dinner. Remember, you can and I can ROCK THAT PLATE!
