Dump cake?!?

I remember making this cake as a Girl Scout. We would make this over a campfire with a dutch oven with coals on the top and bottom. I finally got this to work at home! Enjoy! It is really fabulous!
1 box yellow cake mix and its regular ingredients such as 3 eggs, oil, water, etc.

1 can cherry pie filling
1 cup plain yogurt or sour cream if you like!
Crumb topping-
1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon almond extract
1/4 teaspoon
kosher salt
1/2 cup margarine or butter

Grease and flour bunt cake pan! In a separate bowl add crumb topping ingredients and rub with your hands until it is like sand. Spread this in the bottom of cake pan. Spread cherry filling evenly in cake pan on top of crumb topping. Make cake mix as directed less 1/2 cup of water and add the yogurt. Spread this evenly in the bunt cake pan. Bake on 300 degrees. This cake takes a long time to bake. Well over an hour! Remember, this is more of a technique not a recipe per say. If you like chocolate use a chocolate cake mix. If you like another type a fruit you another pie filling! Remember, you can ROCK THAT PLATE!

My mom made a wicked dutch oven cobbler this summer when camping with us in Cades Cove and it was incredible. Otherwise, I would have read this and said, "Huh? Dutch oven and cake????"
